Flat tire change: questions
What do I do with a flat tire on Highway 401?
Turn on your hazard lights and get as far onto the right shoulder as you safely can. Do not change the tire on the traffic side. If it is safe to leave the vehicle, wait behind the barrier, away from traffic. Call 911 if anyone is in danger, then call us with your direction and nearest exit.
Do I need a spare for you to help?
No. If you have a usable spare we can install it. If not, we check whether the tire can be repaired safely or needs replacing, and explain the options.
